ALMOST THERE

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday week off :)

Since no one sent in scores last week, we'll just have to write it off as 'holiday'.

But I hope everyone restarted after the turkey coma. We have exactly nine days left. 9.

NINE

Now is the time to push it to the limit. Challenge yourself. Rise above. Overcome. Do it. Yes we can. And all that jazz. Eat less for nine days. Walk more. Lift more. Dance more. F*** more. Whatever it takes*!

Just commit yourself these last nine days, it will probably look something like this:

Tuesday - eff it, I'm not eating that last cookie.
Wednesday - ugh, FINE I'll have diet coke.
Thursday - "What do you mean you're out of apple pie??! Dammit, just give me an apple then."
Friday - Diet red bull vodka s'il vous plait!
Saturday - Dancing, hold the 2am gravy fries.
Sunday - FOOTBALL! Celery + blue cheese is better than wings and blue cheese. Have one beer you noobs.
Monday - Ugh, I look so fat in the mirror, my body image complex has driven me to 5 hours in the gym today!
Tuesday - Damn, I'm looking pretty fly, I could eat some pizza or something....NO! MUST DEFEAT MYSELF.
Wednesday - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Future self is so much more awesome than present self! Nine days older, confidence levels over 9000!

Life's this game of inches, so is weight loss..

We had a few success, and a few...opportunities this week.

Myself and Amber managed to lose a bit of weight. This is the second week in a row that Amber has kicked ass. Way to go!

Jenn, Abbie, Lynn and Harley all lost some good chucks this week too. Keep it up. Slow and steady!

The rest of us didn't have the most successful week. But it's ok. Two steps forward, one step back. Just remember to take the next two steps FORWARD and not BACK. :-D

For shame I say, for shame.

To refresh:

To lose weight, one must simply consume less calories than one uses during a given day. So, if you eat a big salad, this has less calories than a brownie but fills you up longer. Then, if you were to say, walk to the coffee shop in the morning and maybe talk with someone or work really hard in front of a computer, you could possibly lose weight simply because you burn calories while sitting too.

Its simple really, eat less, walk places, lose weight!

I say this to remind myself too. Ribs at night, daily beers, and a minor cold are not how one loses weight.

Lots of small meals all day, daily walks, and sleep are how one loses weight.

C'mon people, kick it up! Only 7 weeks left, we're at our half way point but I bet nearly all of us could be trying harder!
